Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to the 2013-2014 school year at Belle River Public School. Not only is this an exciting time for students, teachers, and parents, it is also a time of change, new experiences, and new challenges.
I am honoured to have been given the opportunity to teach your child this year. I have previously taught at the intermediate level but have spent most of my career teaching the primary grades. I am excited to continue my teaching career with the Belle River Public School community.
I encourage you to take the time to discuss each day with your child, asking questions and offering support and encouragement. It is also important to set aside a special time each day to read as well as review daily work and concepts.
RIGHTS, RESPECT, and RESPONSIBILITY will be stressed and expected in the classroom and on the playground. A safe, warm, and cooperative environment is necessary for optimum learning.
I strongly believe that parents play a very important role in both the social and academic development of their child at this stage of their lives. It is my goal to develop a strong relationship between your child, the parents, and myself. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at the school. I am looking forward to meeting and working with you in the upcoming school year.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Alice Ferrone
